About

Adora is a freelance artist and a tattoo artist.

Specializing in intricate illustrations and illustrative style tattoos that tell a story, Adora constantly draws inspiration from children's books, cartoons, anime, manga, and video games. Drawing has been a part of Adora's life since before she could read, making art an integral part of her identity.

While operating her art business independently under "Adora Bao Studio", she tattoos out of the tattoo studio, Rat King Tattoo, in the Metro Detroit area in Michigan, USA.

As a first-generation Hmong-American, Adora draws resilience, inspiration, and advocacy from her roots. Her parents and grandparents were refugees from the Vietnam War, escaping persecution by Vietcong and she was born in the Motor City - Detroit, Michigan.

Outside the tattoo studio, Adora creates art in her home studio, enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, photography, playing video games, attends concerts, watches movies, binges the latest anime, and cherishes quality time with friends and family.
